Software Implementation

Live in 6-12 months, with the go-live date named at the start

Design, governance and delivery management for your core system implementation - so the system that goes live matches the design your Board signed off. We sit between you and the software vendor, hold the build to an agreed design, and manage the work through to a safe go or no-go decision.

6-12 months to live, depending on complexity. We name the date at the start, along with the decisions that would move it. No vendor commissions, ever.

At a glance

Successfully implement and embed the right technology.

What you walk away with, how it runs, and what makes it work on your side.

What you receive

A design that reflects how your organisation really works.

A program plan with clear gates and responsibilities.

The system built to that design and tested on your scenarios.

Data migration planned early, rehearsed and reconciled.

Change and adoption support, so staff are confident on day one.

Independent vendor management and reporting to your executive and Board.

How it runs

G1 Clarify and design

G2 Prepare and mobilise

G3 Build and test

G4 Train and ready

G5 Go or no-go, then stabilise

Six months where the scope is contained, twelve where it spans several systems, sites or entities.

Keys to success

Name a decision owner who can sign off designs, and sign off within ten business days, so the build never waits on a decision.

Name your data owners and keep them close through migration and testing, so the data that goes live is data you trust.

Have the people who do the work write the test scenarios, signed off before the build ends, so testing proves the system works the way you do.

Confirm the vendor's build and go-live slots before mobilisation closes, so the date is anchored from the start.

Hold the go or no-go on the planned date, so go-live is decided on evidence, not drift.

When to use this

Use this offer when:

You have selected a core system and now need it implemented without disrupting day-to-day operations.

The vendor can configure the software, but you want independent design and governance, not a vendor-led build.

Your Board expects a clear line of sight from strategy and requirements through to what actually goes live.

Prior projects have overrun, slipped in scope or gone live without being truly ready.

Data migration, staff adoption and vendor management are too important to leave to chance.

What you receive

A practical process, data and integration design that reflects how your organisation really works, not a generic template.

A program plan with clear gates, decision points and responsibilities across your team, the vendor and Emergent.

The system built to the signed-off design, with the build held to it and tested against your scenarios.

Data migration planned early, automated where possible, rehearsed and reconciled so it does not become the reason go-live slips.

Structured change and adoption support so staff are competent and confident with the new system, not left to work it out after go-live.

Independent vendor management that drives issues to closure and sets up a healthy ongoing relationship after go-live.

Independent reporting to your executive and Board on readiness, risk and required decisions.

We design and run the program. Your vendor configures the software to that design.

How it runs

G1

Clarify and design

We translate strategy and requirements into a detailed process, data and integration design, agree roles and responsibilities, and lock in the delivery plan and stage gates.

G2

Prepare and mobilise

We align internal teams, confirm vendor scope and commercials, stand up governance, and make sure everyone is working to the same signed-off design and plan. Data migration scope, approach and responsibilities are agreed up front.

G3

Build and test

The system is built to the signed-off design. We hold the build to that design and run testing against your scenarios. Data migration is planned, automated where practical, rehearsed and checked so defects are closed before the next gate, not discovered at the last minute.

G4

Train and ready

We coordinate training, change activity and cutover preparations so people, process, data and controls are ready, not just the technology. Staff adoption and competency are treated as core go-live criteria, not an afterthought.

G5

Go or no-go - and stabilise

We run the go-live decision against agreed criteria, then manage post go-live stabilisation so issues are logged, prioritised and resolved. Vendor management continues through hypercare so the relationship, not just the system, is set up well for business-as-usual.

At every gate, you receive a clear view of status, risk and the decisions required to move forward safely.

Where it starts

You can engage us before you sign with a vendor, or once a preferred vendor is selected and you want independent implementation governance.

Either way, we sit on your side of the table. We take no commissions or referral fees from software vendors. The design is yours, agreed before anything is built, and we keep the vendor to it all the way to go-live.

What usually comes next

LevelUp™, flexible access to advanced skills after stabilisation to keep improving the system and the way it is used. Executive Counterparts, a seat that works for the executive who owns the new system: their decisions, their evidence, reported to them and no one else.
